One of the most valuable and fundamental tools of the children’s ministry is the AWANA program. AWANA stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” (2 Timothy 2:15). This program provides opportunities for children to learn about Christ on a weekly basis through Bible memorization, activities, and games.  Join us every Wednesday night and personally witness your child's spiritual growth!

Our AWANA program consists of the following clubs:
Cubbies (3-5 year olds)
Sparks (K-2nd grades)
TNT (girls 3rd-6th grades)

TNT Boys (3rd - 6th grades)

 and...Games Square (tennis shoes required)

The program includes over 2 dozen dedicated volunteers serving the clubbers on a weekly basis in their spiritual growth and development. With the biblical truths contained within AWANA program, we are training up our children in the way they should go.

Parents…go to www.AWANA.org for more detailed information on the AWANA program.

Kids, come out and join us every Wednesday!  And, don’t forget to bring your running shoes for the weekly game square team competition.

AWANA Games 2011

The children frmo the AWANA program competed in the North Valley Sparks-a-Rama & AWANA Games which took place on March 26, 2011 at Clovis East High School. They competed against AWANA programs from churches up and down the valley in some very exciting game challenges with the following outcome:

Sparks team (Kindergarten—2nd Grade) earned 3rd place
Truth & Training Girls (3rd—6th Grade) earned 2nd Place
Truth & Training Boys (3rd—6th Grade) earned an impressive 1st Place

Congratulations to all our teams for their hard work and great sportsmanship!

Many of our Truth and Training 5th and 6th graders are working hard to complete their handbooks, and meet the requirements to qualify for High Sierra Scholarship Camp in June-July 2011. Some of the children may be looking for sponsors in order to attend the camp; if they meet the requirements. Anyone wishing additional information on how they can help is asked to contact the AWANA Commander- Cheryl Copeland, or the church office.

Special Thanks to all of our dedicated Leaders and Parent Volunteers, for all of your tireless dedication to the kids in the FCC Awana program
